Project: Master Bathroom

Challenge: Update a small bathroom
in a tight space

Solution: An upstairs bathroom, squeezed into the eaves of an old house, needed to become an open master bathroom with a shower and tub. The room was completely gutted by a local contractor and put back together according to Exceed’s specifications. Exceed designers added a shower in the high-ceilinged area and utilized the ceiling angle for the shower head and hand-held shower. The existing, vintage tub was repositioned under the low-ceiling area of the bathroom. The homeowner requested a beach feel, so designers used a large-format porcelain tile in soft greens and blues on the floor with a marble mosaic in the new shower area. Exceed provided the European plumbing fixtures and the Statuary marble vanity top to create a modern, elegant look. When the challenging project was completed, it was a new room that looked and functioned as an open, comfortable master bathroom.
